Georgia DOT to Hold Virtual Industry Forum for State Route (SR) 25 at Darien River Bridge Replacement Project

Georgia DOT to Hold Virtual Industry Forum for State Route (SR) 25 at Darien River Bridge Replacement Project.
What: The Georgia Department of Transportation (Georgia DOT) has announced an industry forum will be held for the US 17/SR 25/SR 99/North Walton Street at Darien River Bridge Replacement Project (P.I. No 0013599) located in McIntosh County. The project will replace the existing bridge with a new structure that is wider with a raised profile to meet current design standards.

The industry forum will cover the proposed scope, procurement schedule, and potential risks for the Design-Build project. Additionally, Georgia DOT will host confidential one-on-one meetings in-person or a virtual option via Microsoft Teams.

When: Thursday, January 15, 2026
  • Interested attendees are strongly encouraged to preregister for the industry forum. Registered attendees will be emailed an early access link to the presentation on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at 8 a.m. EST.
  • Within 24 hours (Thursday, January 15, 2026), the prerecorded industry forum presentation will be posted to the Design-Build web page, along with a copy of the presentation and a list of registered attendees, including contact information.
  • One-on-one meetings will be held on Thursday, January 15, 2026.
