Together, we are taking a major step forward with the creation of a joint venture dedicated to biomass pellet grinding, aiming to deliver a sustainable and high-performance energy solution for Carmeuse and third parties.

Two proudly Belgian industrial players, both rooted in Wallonia, joining forces to reinvest locally and shape the future of sustainable industry in the heart of Europe.

A project that makes sense for both partners:
➡️ For Terval, this is a milestone built on 45 years of expertise in the transformation of conventional solid fuels and now transposed to biomass. A new chapter begins - same expertise, new horizons.
➡️ For Carmeuse, a world-leading lime producer committed to reducing its environmental footprint, this project is a concrete expression of its decarbonisation strategy and its determination to invest in more sustainable industrial processes.

Located at Terval's site in Liège, with trimodal access
Up to 120,000 t/year grinding capacity
First Volume available Q4 2027
✍️ Partial offtake volumes booked for 10 years
