PUBLIC NOTICE ADL 422506 DNR Division of Forestry
October 22, 2025
Subject to AS 38.05.850, the Northern Regional Land Office has received an application for the following:
APPLICANT: DNR Division of Forestry
PROJECT NAME: ADL 422506
GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION: Approximately 8 miles north of Delta Junction, crossing the Delta River, and approximately 1 mile south of the confluence of the Delta and Tanana Rivers. This area encompasses an existing seasonal winter access route.
LEGAL DESCRIPTION:
S ½ of the SE ¼ of Section 7, Township 9 South, Range 10 East, Fairbanks Meridian
SW ¼ of the SW ¼ of Section 8, Township 9 South, Range 10 East, Fairbanks Meridian
N ½ of NW ¼ of Section 17, Township 9 South, Range 10 East, Fairbanks Meridian
N ½ of NE ¼ of Section 18, Township 9 South, Range 10 East, Fairbanks Meridian
as shown on the attached map.
REQUESTED ACTIVITY: The DNR Division of Forestry (DOF) has applied for a public access easement crossing the Delta River. The easement would measure 500 feet wide by approximately 5,280 feet long, comprising approximately 60 acres, more or less. The requested easement width would facilitate the minor access reroutes, winter maintenance, changing river conditions, and the use of the heavy equipment needed to maintain the road. The easement would connect to several DOF public access easements west of the west bank of the Delta River and would be available to the general public for use.
REQUESTED TERM: Indefinitely or until no longer needed.
DEADLINE FOR COMMENTS: November 21, 2025
The public is invited to comment on this activity. The purpose of this notice is to gather input before a decision is made on this activity. To ensure consideration, written comments must be received by the Division of Mining, Land and Water at 3700 Airport Way, Fairbanks, AK 99709 on or before 5:00 p.m. on the date noted above. Comments or
questions about this activity should be directed to Diana Lehman, Telephone 907-451-

After review and adjudication, we may issue an authorization with stipulations for the
activity. The activity may be modified during the review and adjudication process.
DNR-DMLW complies with Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990.
Individuals with disabilities who may need auxiliary aids, services or special modifications
to comment should contact Alaska Relay at 711 or 800-770-8973 for TTY services.
The DMLW reserves the right to waive technical defects in this notice.
