Parks & Rec Month: Supporting Local Artists
As you're out and about Vista this summer, you may catch glimpse of our six new, locally designed sculptures! These are part of Kites Over Vista, the cornerstone of the Public Art Commission's visual arts program.
Each kite tells its own story, reflecting the unique individuals who make up our incredible city. For example, Sergey Gornushkin's Frigate of the Cosmos (as pictured) anchors the corner of E. Broadway and South Indiana Ave., and highlights creativity with its otherworldly presence.
