Detroit Media Services department will be hosting a Film Detroit community outreach event on September 10, giving community partners and film makers the opportunity to learn how to amplify their voice and creative work through the City of Detroit's digital platforms.

The department will also unveil their annual Film Detroit outreach and event calendar during the event.
Along with the information, outreach program will also include:
Whether they're a youth, adult, or independent filmmaker, part of a nonprofit or community group looking to share their message, this event is designed to connect them to the City department.
Please note: This opportunity is not intended for for-profit businesses or organizations looking to promote or sell commercial productions.
If they are not able to attend in person, they can still be part of the experience and tune in to the presentation live on the Film Detroit LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook pages.
In addition to the outreach event, the Department's program coordinator will begin outreach and engagement with local universities, colleges and high schools through presentations and tabling.
Detroit Media Services will also launch the annual outreach and calendar with events monthly to connect and assist filmmakers by providing resources such as panels and workshops.
