Notice of Final Adoption of Water Quality Rules Chapter 4

The Department of Environmental Quality has revised Water Quality Rules, Chapter 4, Regulations for Releases of Oil and Hazardous Substances into Waters of the State of Wyoming.

The revisions to Chapter 4 (1) clarify existing requirements; (2) update references; (3) remove passages that are restatements of the Wyoming Statutes; and (4) correct grammar and punctuation errors throughout the Chapter.

The Environmental Quality Council adopted the revised rules at a public hearing held on November 18, 2025, via Zoom. The final rule was filed with the Wyoming Secretary of State on January 12, 2026.
