JLL and Sundance Square announce Retail Leasing Partnership

FORT WORTH, May 08, 2026 - JLL, a leading real estate services firm in Fort Worth for more than 20 years, will support targeted retail leasing for Sundance Square, the city's premier mixed-use district and cultural center. Spanning 37 contiguous blocks in the heart of Fort Worth, Sundance Square has evolved over more than four decades into a cornerstone of the city's urban landscape, blending retail, dining, office, residential, and public programming into a single connected district - a destination that embodies the city's spirit and fuels its reputation as one of America's safest, greenest, and most vibrant downtowns.

In addition to its award-winning Plaza, Sundance Square encompasses 3.7 million square feet of premium commercial space at the center of Fort Worth, with select availabilities for restaurant, retail, arts, and entertainment tenants. JLL's scope, led by Michael Wheat and Isabella Burnette, covers over 105,000 square feet of space at Fort Worth's most visited destination.

"Sundance Square is where Fort Worth's western heritage meets modern urban sophistication in perfect harmony," said JLL's Wheat. "We're thrilled to partner with all those involved in ensuring Sundance Square is a vibrant source of culture and entertainment for Fort Worth residents and visitors for decades to come."

"We see significant opportunity to further strengthen the tenant mix in ways that reflect both Fort Worth's identity and evolving consumer demand," said Ed Kraus, Vice President of Sundance Square. "With JLL's experience and market insight, we're well positioned to build on the current momentum."

Developed in the late 1970s, Sundance Square has grown into a central part of Fort Worth's cultural and commercial life. Anchored by its two-acre Plaza, the district has become one of Texas' most vibrant outdoor venues, hosting year-round concerts, arts festivals, markets, and community celebrations that draw thousands to the heart of the city, driving sustained visitation and tenant performance.
