The Jellyfish Museum Offers a Glimpse into the Deep

Pompano Beach is about to welcome a truly unique attraction with Florida's first live Jellyfish Museum! This exciting new venture promises to be a fascinating blend of art, science, and conservation, all centered around some of the ocean's most enigmatic creatures.

The Jellyfish Museum, which will be located at 199 N. Ocean Blvd., is slated to open in February 2026 with a mesmerizing array of live jellyfish displays. Since jellyfish lifespans typically range from three months to two years, the exhibits will naturally renew each year, ensuring that every visit offers something new and exciting. Beyond the exhibits, the museum will also host engaging community programs and initiatives. These include illusion and magic shows on select days, as well as educational tours specifically designed for schools and various learning groups.

The team behind this ambitious project has over two decades of experience in designing and operating public aquarium exhibits. Following the successful pilot of a similar jellyfish museum in Europe, the founders are now transforming a former bank building in Pompano Beach into a captivating jellyfish gallery.

"We selected Pompano Beach because of its appealing combination of coastal charm, cultural growth, and strong local support, making it an ideal location for such a bold and meaningful endeavor," said Yana Yanovska. "The Jellyfish Museum will exemplify the intersection of art, science and social impact and we are thrilled that the City has embraced this inspiring initiative."

A core part of the museum's charitable mission is to make marine education and experiences genuinely accessible. Free tours will be offered to orphans, and a discount program will be available for vulnerable populations in Broward County. Additionally, seniors and veterans will receive discounts in recognition of their service and contributions.

Currently, the team is actively seeking collaborations with local sponsors, businesses, and socially responsible investors to help enhance the final phase of implementation, expand the exhibit's potential, and realize even more ambitious design and construction features.
