Finstad Applauds Return to Regular Order in Appropriations Process

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Today, Congressman Brad Finstad (MN-01) issued the following statement after passage of the final set of FY26 appropriations bills - Defense; Homeland; Labor, Health and Human Services, Education; and Transportation, Housing and Urban Development - marking the completion of Congress' annual appropriations process:

"For too long, Washington has governed through eleventh-hour omnibus spending bills full of misplaced priorities that fueled Washington's out-of-control spending. Americans and the southern Minnesotans whom I represent have spoken loud and clear in demanding better," said Rep. Finstad.

"I'm immensely proud of the work we, as House Republicans, have done to return to regular order in our appropriations process. In doing so, we are ushering in the fiscal responsibility Americans voted for and aligning our government funding priorities with those of our constituents. With today's vote, the House has passed all twelve standalone appropriations bills, putting an end to Washington's business-as-usual and returning to the intended committee-led process that allows for a meaningful allocation of government funding which uses taxpayer dollars wisely."
