Reporters Without Borders (RSF) announces the appointment of Clothilde Redfern as the new director of its London based UK Office. In this role, alongside the members of the RSF UK board of directors and the RSF UK advisory board, she will lead the development of the office's activities and its growth strategy. Clothilde Redfern's appointment as the new director of the UK Office will also support the development of RSF's advocacy work liaising with Government, international organisations and media actors to support the implementation of priority global campaigns.

With over twenty years' experience in both the media industry and the non-profit sector, Clothilde Redfern has spent her professional career developing relationships with key partners and donors that support journalists and media freedom. She was previously Executive Director at Reporters Shield, Rory Peck Trust & One World Media, where she developed numerous programmes dedicated to the support, safety and welfare of journalists around the world. She started her career at the International Herald Tribune in Paris, then worked for British broadcasters, including Channel 4's Documentaries department, before taking leadership roles in non-profit organisations supporting journalists and filmmakers. This varied experience brings a strong understanding of the media sector and a deep affinity with journalists. Clothilde Redfern will continue supporting journalists and press freedom as UK Director of Reporters without Borders (RSF).
