As presenting sponsor of the Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Award, Nationwide invites fans to take part in the Charity Challenge to support the causes championed by their favorite club winners. The challenge runs now through Monday, January 5, 2026.

Contest Highlights:

  • Fans have the option to vote online or via X.
    • Vote directly at NFL.com/manoftheyear.
    • Post #WPMOYChallenge on X along with player's full name or X handle.
  • All votes count twice during Double Vote Days on Tuesday, December 16 and Friday, January 2.
  • Nationwide will donate $35,000, $10,000, and $5,000 to the nonprofit organizations designated by the first, second, and third-place finishers, respectively.

"Charity Challenge continues to be a fun, friendly competition for additional donations but it also serves to raise awareness for the important causes that inspire these players to drive meaningful change in their communities," said Jim McCoy, vice president of Sports Marketing for Nationwide.

In last year's contest, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce became the first two-time winner of Charity Challenge after racking up more than two million votes. Buffalo Bills offensive tackle Dion Dawkins finished second while Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans placed third.

Hashtag information, official rules and the Charity Challenge scoreboard can be found at NFL.com/manoftheyear. The winners will be announced on Wednesday, January 7.

The 2025 NFL season marks the 12th year of Nationwide's sponsorship of the Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Award. Since 2014, Nationwide has contributed more than $2.3 million to the charitable foundations represented by the various nominees and winners.

The winner of the Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Award presented by Nationwide will be announced during NFL Honors, a primetime awards special to air nationally on Thursday, February 5.
