In support of local businesses, the City of Kirkland will again recognize Small Business Saturday in 2026. The shopping holiday, which is celebrated nationally each year on the Saturday directly following Thanksgiving, falls on Nov. 28 this year.

"Kirkland's businesses are a core part of our community," said Councilmember Amy Falcone. "Participating in Small Business Saturday and shopping local throughout the year keeps more of our dollars in our community, where they can continue to work for Kirklanders."

Recognizing Small Business Saturday is part of the City's efforts to highlight and strengthen Kirkland's businesses. Not only do they create jobs and drive innovation, they add to Kirkland's unique character. A strong and vibrant local economy benefits the entire community, meaning that the practice of "shopping small" can have a big impact.

Small Business Saturday coincides with WinterFest, a seasonal celebration presented by Kirkland Urban and the Kirkland Downtown Association. Round out your day of shopping local by joining the festivities, including the downtown tree lighting!
