Lane closures on U.S. 24 in Jackson County for ADA Improvements, …

JACKSON COUNTY - The Missouri Department of Transportation will conduct various lane closures on westbound and eastbound U.S. Highway 24 for ADA Improvements. All work is weather permitting.

See below for traffic modifications:

  • Various lane closures on WB U.S. 24 from Sterling Ave to Overton Ave on Monday, Feb. 16 at 12 a.m. until December 2026.
  • Various lane closures on EB U.S. 24 from Overton Ave to Sterling Ave on Monday, Feb. 16 at 12 a.m. until December 2026.

MoDOT will replace curb ramps and sidewalks that do not meet ADA standards along with crosswalk markings, pavement widening, resurfacing and traffic signal relocations.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. They can also be short-term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
