Concert dedicated to the 35th anniversary year of the Independence of the Republic of Armenia

A concert of Armenian classical music was held in the Concert Hall of the J. Kakhidze Tbilisi Music and Cultural Center, co-organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia to Georgia and the Center. The concert featured the Tbilisi Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Maestro Vakhtang Kakhidze, with the participation of internationally acclaimed violinist Sergey Khachatryan.
In his opening remarks, Ambassador A. Smbatyan noted that the concert is dedicated to the 35th anniversary year of the Independence of the Republic of Armenia and is the first cultural event in Tbilisi marking this occasion.
The program included Aram Khachatrian's Violin Concerto and Avet Terterian's Symphony No. 3, with the participation of duduk players Harutyun Chkolyan and Karen Sirakanyan, who arrived from Armenia.
Among the attendees were the First Vice Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia Giorgi Volski, Minister of Education, Science and Youth Givi Mikanadze, Deputy Ministers of Defense of Armenia and Georgia Arman Sargsyan and Paata Patiashvili, heads and staff of diplomatic missions accredited in Georgia, as well as representatives of Georgia's cultural, academic circles and the Armenian community.
