1.Amazon and Other Platforms Increase Investment in Mexico
Recently, according to a plan announced by the government of the State of Mexico in Mexico, Amazon, Mercado Libre, and French logistics company Geodis will invest over 21 billion pesos (approximately $1.2 billion) in the State of Mexico to expand logistics infrastructure, build new centers, and create thousands of job opportunities. French fashion brand Pimkie has announced a partnership with fast-fashion e-commerce platform Shein to accelerate its online business development through Shein's global e-commerce network. By the end of this year, Pimkie products are expected to officially launch on the Shein platform, reaching 160 markets. Pimkie CEO Salih Halassi stated that e-commerce currently accounts for less than 5% of the company's revenue, and the collaboration with Shein will help establish a robust digital channel. The goal is to increase the contribution of e-commerce to total revenue to 30% within three years. Pimkie projects revenue of €150 million by 2025 and aims to achieve €300 million by 2028.
3.AliExpress Launches Full-Funnel Traffic Tool "AI All-Station Push"
AliExpress has announced the launch of its full-funnel traffic tool, "AI All-Station Push," which incorporates AI large model capabilities to assist merchants in advertising placements. This upgrade shifts the previous ad placement model to a traffic placement approach covering scenarios such as search and recommendations. In the traditional traffic placement model, merchants needed to select keywords, set ad bids, adjust budgets, and closely monitor ad performance data. Now, "AI All-Station Push" can address these issues. Merchants only need to set budgets, target return on investment ratios, and other goals, while the remaining tasks are handled by AI automation.
