Reps. Sandra Scott and Derrick Jackson to Participate in September 11 Ceremony at State Capitol
ATLANTA - State Representatives Sandra Scott (D-Rex) and Derrick Jackson (D-Tyrone), along with Safe America, will host a ceremony honoring soldiers and elected officials on Thursday, September 11, 2025, at 10 a.m. at the South Wing of the State Capitol.
The ceremony will feature a moment of remembrance for those lost on September 11, 2001, and Rep. Jackson will provide remarks.
"On September 11, we remember, we honor and we recommit," said Rep. Scott. "Georgia's veterans, active-duty service members, first responders and public servants embody courage and selfless leadership. I'm proud to stand with Safe America to pay tribute to those who protect our freedoms and safeguard our communities."
