DALLAS - Dr. Frederick Douglass Todd Sr. Middle School will host the official unveiling of the Dallas ISD Career and Technical Education mobile lab at 9:30 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 6. This state-of-the-art trailer delivers hands-on learning in high-demand career fields directly to campuses, giving students early exposure to real-world career pathways. Speakers will include Superintendent Stephanie S. Elizalde, Ed.D., Deputy Chief of Career and Technical Education Oswaldo Alvarenga, and Dallas Education Foundation Board President Victor Vital.
VISUALS:Elementary students step into success with shoe giveaway
Today, nearly 200 students at John W. Carpenter Elementary School received a brand-new pair of shoes, courtesy of nonprofit organization Soles4Souls. Volunteers measured students' foot size and distributed new shoes, giving each child the opportunity to step into every school day with comfort, confidence, and excitement.

History comes to Life at Julian T. Saldivar
Julian T. Saldivar Elementary School students will experience history in motion during a live Danza Mexica presentation at 9 a.m., Friday, Nov. 7. The presentation will bring classroom learning to life using music, movement, and cultural storytelling. The performance offers students a hands-on opportunity to explore the living traditions of Indigenous peoples of Mexico while deepening their understanding of history, art, and social studies.
