Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright has advised Nederlandse Financierings-Maatschappij voor Ontwikkelingslanden N.V. (FMO), the Netherlands Development Finance Company, on its debut EUR benchmark green bond issuance.
FMO's EUR 500 million green bond carries an annual coupon of 3.375% and will mature in September 2031. FMO will use the funds for financing and refinancing green projects according to its sustainability bonds framework.
The bond was placed globally with BofA Securities, ING, J.P. Morgan and Rabobank acting as Joint Lead Managers for the issuance.
The Norton Rose Fulbright deal team was led by Amsterdam-based capital markets partner Peter Voorhees and supported by counsel Chris Sanderson and associate Elizabeth Bosman. The wider team also included Amsterdam-based partner Joris Ravelli.
Commenting on the transaction, Peter Voorhees said:
