Deputy Secretary-General of ASEAN for ASEAN Economic Community Satvinder Singh attended the Fourth ASEAN Blue Economy Forum (4th ABEF) on 24-25 August 2026 in Makati Shangri La, Manila, the Philippines. In the high-level panel, DSG Satvinder Singh underscored the blue economy as a pivotal engine of inclusive and sustainable growth in line with the AEC Strategic Plan 2026-2030, emphasising that financing and partnerships are key to advancing connectivity, resilience, and inclusivity across the region. He also attended the Third Meeting of the ASEAN Coordinating Task Force on Blue Economy (ACTF-BE), which advanced discussions on the ASEAN Blue Economy Implementation Plan Roadmap 2026-2030, with a focus on ensuring that the Roadmap is practical, impactful and responsive to the region's priorities.
