SmartNanotubes is very proud to announce that Safetytech Accelerator, in collaboration with Anchor Partners COSCO SHIPPING Lines, EVERGREEN LINE, HMM, Lloyd's Register, Offen Group, Ocean Network Express, Seaspan Corporation, TT Club and UK P&I Club in the Cargo Fire & Loss Innovation Initiative (CFLII), selected SmartNanotubes Technologies and duotec group for the evaluation of our cutting-edge E-Nose technology for early fire detection in cargo holds of containerships'.

According to the anchor partners our Smell Detection technology holds great potential for early fire detection in cargo vessels, which is crucial for maritime safety. The early detection of smells that indicate a fire or a leakage of dangerous flammable substances plays a crucial role in preventing major fires on cargo ships. With the electronic nose technology from SmartNanotubes Technologies and duotec group, it is possible to detect a fire or a possible cause of a fire much earlier than with other technologies and sensors. This will gain crucial time to take appropriate countermeasures to fight or prevent the fire and to minimize the consequences for the ship and crew. Together with SafetyTech Accelerator anchor partners we will evaluate, test and assess integration opportunities, enhancing safety and efficiency in the shipping industry.
