Diversey and the World Sustainable Hospitality Alliance Partner to Help Hotels Improve Operational Sustainability

September 4, 2026

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

LONDON (England) - The World Sustainable Hospitality Alliance (WSHA) and Diversey, a Solenis company, have announced a new partnership to help hotels turn environmental and social sustainability goals into practical improvements across their operations. The collaboration comes as hotels face increasing pressure to reduce resource use and support sustainability goals while maintaining the cleanliness, safety and guest experience their operations require.

The partnership helps hotels move sustainability from commitment to action across cleaning, hygiene, laundry, kitchen and back-of-house operations. With Diversey's technical expertise and data-enabled insights, WSHA members can identify efficiency opportunities, reduce waste, support water stewardship and track progress across everyday operations.

"Hospitality has a unique responsibility and opportunity to lead the charge in global conservation efforts," said Glenn Mandziuk, WSHA President & CEO. "Partnering with Diversey allows us to bring world-class technical expertise directly to our members. Together, we are turning ambitious sustainability goals into concrete, actionable solutions that will protect our planet's most vital resources."

"Our sustainability strategy is centered on helping customers solve real operational challenges in ways that create measurable value," said Dr. Lotta Kanto Öqvist, Chief Sustainability Officer, Solenis. "Through Diversey, we can bring that approach to hotel operators by helping them identify practical opportunities to use resources more efficiently, strengthen performance and support long-term sustainability goals."

Diversey's solutions and expertise help hotel operators maintain high standards of hygiene, safety and guest care while supporting more efficient resource use across everyday operations.

"Hotel teams need solutions that are easy to implement and reliable in day-to-day operations," said Anouk Sassen, Regional Hospitality Sustainability Expert, Diversey. "Through this partnership, we can share practical experience with WSHA members and help translate sustainability priorities into improvements that work on property."

The collaboration is aligned with WSHA's Net Positive Hospitality vision and will support knowledge sharing, practical implementation and industry dialogue across the sector.

The announcement comes ahead of the WSHA Global Summit in Paris on 8-9 December 2026, where hospitality leaders will discuss the solutions, partnerships and operational changes needed to advance Net Positive Hospitality.
