What You Need When Applying for FEMA Assistance

FEMA may be able to provide financial support to help individuals and families who were impacted by the Alaska West Coast Storms. Having the right information ready to go can make the registration process go by faster.

What You Need

  • Social Security number for applicant and co-applicant
  • Address of the damaged home or apartment
  • Description of the damage
  • Information about insurance coverage
  • Telephone number
  • Mailing address
  • Income
  • Bank account & routing numbers for direct deposit of funds
  • Email address if no bank account and/or for applications completed through disasterassistance.gov

How to Apply

Impacted Alaskans can apply for FEMA assistance by:

  • Calling the dedicated Alaska Call Center at (866) 342-1699, Monday-Sunday from 9 a.m.-6:30 p.m.
  • Visiting the following Disaster Assistance Center:
