New Guide to Amending Schedules, Statements, & Lists

The U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Connecticut has published a new Guide to Amending Schedules, Statements, and Lists, now available on the Bankruptcy How-To Guides webpage.

The Guide is intended to assist parties in understanding the procedures for amending bankruptcy schedules, statements, and lists. It provides practical, step-by-step guidance on topics including:

  • Completing amended schedules, statements, and lists;
  • Determining when additional forms are required;
  • Filing fees associated with amendments;
  • Service requirements; and
  • Filing amended documents with the Court.

The Guide is available on the Court's website at: https://www.ctb.uscourts.gov/bankruptcy-how-to-guides

New Amendment Cover Sheet Available

The Court has also made available a new Amendment Cover Sheet to accompany amendments to schedules, statements, and lists.

The Cover Sheet is designed to assist filers in complying with Local Bankruptcy Rule 1009-1, which requires amendments to identify the changes being made. The Cover Sheet provides a convenient way to identify the documents being amended, describe the changes, and determine whether additional forms or filing fees may be required.

The Amendment Cover Sheet is available in both fillable PDF and printable PDF formats on the Court's Local Forms webpage: https://www.ctb.uscourts.gov/local-forms
