For the seventh consecutive year, Avera Foundation has been recognized as a High Performer for 2025 by the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy (AHP), the leading authority in health care fundraising and development.
This prestigious acknowledgment places Avera Foundation among a select group of health care organizations for its outstanding fundraising performance and commitment to advancing health in the community.
The AHP High Performer designation is awarded to organizations in the top 25% for net fundraising revenue in the United States and Canada. This achievement reflects Avera Foundation's dedication to fostering a culture of philanthropy and its success in securing vital resources to support patient care.
Avera Foundation earned recognition in two categories - Overall Revenue High Performer and Overall Productivity High Performer - placing among the top 25% of organizations in the 2025 AHP Report on Giving for both total fundraising revenue and revenue per full-time equivalent.
"We are honored to receive this recognition from the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy," said Dzenan Berberovic, Avera Chief Philanthropy Officer. "This award is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our philanthropy team, our inspiring caregivers, the support of our leadership and the profound generosity of our donors. In a time of significant transformation in health care, philanthropy is the catalyst that allows us to innovate and provide the highest quality of care. This recognition fuels our commitment to continue advancing the boundaries of what's possible in medicine."
AHP is an international professional organization dedicated to developing the people who advance the mission of community health through philanthropy. Their High Performers recognition is a part of their comprehensive benchmarking service that allows health care organizations to measure their fundraising success against industry-wide data.
"To be recognized as a high-performing organization by the AHP is a reflection of the trust our benefactors place in us," Berberovic said. "Our donors improve lives, and this achievement is a shared success. It is their belief in our vision that empowers our physicians, researchers and care teams to deliver exceptional and compassionate care every day. We are grateful."
