ATLANTA - On March 10, the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) joined LGBTQ+ Georgians, advocates, and 35 coalition partners at the Georgia State Capitol for Pride to the Capitol 2026, a lobby day and press conference calling on lawmakers to uphold the unfulfilled promise of America: Liberty and Justice for ALL. Among the participating organizations were Georgia Equality, ACLU of Georgia, PFLAG, the Southern Poverty Law Center, and the only LGBTQ+ Pride center in the state, the Savannah Pride Center.
Advocates met directly with legislators throughout the day to discuss the real-life impact of policies affecting LGBTQ+ Georgians and their families. During a press conference on the South Wing Steps of the Capitol, speakers underscored that LGBTQ+ people are not single-issue voters - they are workers, parents, faith leaders, small business owners, and neighbors whose lives intersect across communities.
