West Tennessee Construction August 5- August 12, 2026

There will be possible DAYTIME or NIGHTTIME lane closures at various locations in Region 4 to make repairs or new installs on an as needed basis at various locations throughout the 21 counties.

District 47
BENTON, CARROLL, HENRY, GIBSON, OBION, WEAKLEY, DYER COUNTY

VARIOUS ROUTES: Pavement markings will be repainted across the Region (West Tennessee). This will result in a slow-moving work zone on interstate and state routes in Shelby, Fayette, Haywood, Madison, Henderson, and Dyer counties.

VARIOUS ROUTES: Pavement testing will cause temporary lane closures in District 47.

BENTON COUNTY

I-40 at Exit 126: The grading, drainage, and paving on I-40 at the US-641 (SR-69) interchange (Exit 126) will cause temporary lane closures throughout the project.

BENTON COUNTY

SR-1 (US70): The grading, drainage, and paving on SR-1 (US 70) from the Camden Bypass to the Tennessee River will cause temporary lane closures throughout the project. The following roads are closed for construction. Traffic to utilize Cutt-Off Rd to access US-70 (SR-1): Missionary Grove Church Rd from US 70 (SR-1) to Old Hwy 70 and Old Hwy 70 from Missionary Grove Church Rd to US 70 (SR-1).

CARROLL COUNTY

SR-22 & SR-364: The Resurfacing on SR-22 from near SR77 to SR77 and SR364 from SR22 to SR77 will cause lane closures throughout the project paving and bridge repair.

CARROLL COUNTY

SR-76 (US-79): The grading, drainage, noise walls, signals, and paving on U.S. 79 (S.R. 76) from near S.R. 77 to near Cutlip Lane will cause lane closures throughout the project.

Meadowbrook Lane is closed.

Cutlip Lane: Traffic was shifted to the new alignment from near Cutlip Ln. to the Connector Rd. leading into Trezevant, speed limit reduced to 35 MPH. Traffic will proceed down the new alignment to an All-Way Stop, then onto Old US79 (SR76).

Dorsey Rd is closed for utility realignment and road construction, weather permitting. The detour route is posted.

Clay Farm Rd is closed for utility realignment and road construction, weather permitting. The detour route along Newsome Rd. is posted.

Power Station Rd: Is closed for road construction, and traffic is detoured along US-70A/SR105 Main Street.

SR-105: Traffic is shifted to the new realignment close to Power Station Road.

DYER COUNTY

US-51 (SR-3): The Resurfacing on US-51 (SR-3) from near SR181 to SR-78 will cause lane closures throughout the project for paving.

DYER COUNTY

SR-211: The bridge over the North Fork Forked Deer River (just south of Dyersburg) will have outside lane closures for inspection and evaluation beginning August 9, 2024.

DYER COUNTY

US-412 and US-51 INTERCHANGE: The full-depth repair of the concrete ramp from US-412 (SR20) to SR-211 North/St. Johns Ave, will cause the ramp to be closed from. A signed detour will be provided.

GIBSON COUNTY

SR-5: The miscellaneous safety improvements on U.S.45(SR-5) at the intersection of Broad Street in Dyer will cause lane closures throughout the project.

GIBSON COUNTY

SR-43: The repair of pipes by the City of Milan on US-45E (SR-43/N. 1st Street) from the intersection of US-79 (SR-76) to W. Woodrow Street will result in daily lane closures, one lane in each direction will be maintained.

GIBSON COUNTY

SR-105: The resurfacing on SR-105 from Shiloh Road to Wayne Lloyd Road will cause lane closures throughout the project for paving.

OBION COUNTY

SR-5: The resurfacing on US-45W (SR-5) from the Gibson County Line to Polk Station Road will cause lane closures throughout the project for paving.

OBION COUNTY

SR-43: The resurfacing on US-45E (SR-43) from the Weakley County Line to Kentucky State Line will cause lane closures throughout the project for paving.

HENRY COUNTY

SR-218: The Resurfacing on SR-218 from the SR-77 to SR-76 will cause lane closures throughout the project for paving.

CHESTER COUNTY

SR100 between E. Main St. and Baker Rd.

Crews are replacing 2 bridges on SR100 between E. Main St. and Baker Rd. Please use caution throughout the area. A temporary traffic signal is in place at the bridge over Dry Creek, east of Henderson.

Restrictions: Speed limit is reduced from 55 MPH to 45 MPH on SR100

CHESTER COUNTY

Talley Store Rd. (County Road) is closed between Terry Ln. To past Talley Rd.

On March 23rd at 7:00 a.m.: Talley Store Rd. closed for a bridge replacement.

SR88 in Bells, TN in relation to relocating SR76 around Pictsweet

On Thursday, August 14, 2025 the following roads closed in Bells, TN

· Central Ave. (SR88) from High St. To Christian Ave Ext.

· Central Ave. (SR88), west of the CSX Railroad

· Weddle St., south of Mitchell Ave.

· Hicks St., from High St. to south of existing Central Ave. (SR88)

A posted detour will be in place for SR88.

SR180 is closed to through traffic for bridge construction.

The resurfacing with cold in-place recycling on US45 (SR5) from SR57 to US 64 (SR15), including concrete repair on the bridge over Roland Creek will cause daily lane closures.

SHELBY COUNTY

I-40 Eastbound from Levee Rd. to Hollywood Street (L.M. 4.65 to L.M. 7.50).

There will be long-term lane closures on East and Westbound I-40 inside lanes for rubblization and paving operations. At least two lanes in the east and westbound directions will remain open at all times.

Nightly Monday, August 10th, 9:00p.m. to Friday, August 14th, 6:00 a.m.:

There will be lane closures for pothole patching operations. One lane will remain open in each direction at all times. WEATHER PERMITTING.

Watkins to I-40 Westbound Ramp Closure
Monday, August 10th, 9:00p.m. to Monday, August 17th, 6:00 a.m.:

There will be a ramp closure to perform paving operations. A detour will be in place.

I-40 from near Sycamore View Road (L.M. 16.13) to Fletcher Creek (L.M. 19.44)

Nightly, 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.:

There will be intermittent nightly lane closures on East and Westbound I-40 for paving operations. One lane will remain open in both directions at all times.

I-40 Hernando DeSoto Bridge over the Mississippi River

Friday, August 7, 9:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m.: There will be temporary lane closures along I-40 Westbound on the Hernando de Soto Bridge for ITS camera repair activities. At least one lane will remain open at all times.

SHELBY COUNTY

I-40 Eastbound Bridge over Chester Street (L.M. 29.6 to L.M. 30.0):

Friday, August 14 at 8:00 p.m. through Monday, August 17 at 6:00 a.m.:

The inside lane of eastbound I-40 will be closed from MM 26.0 to MM 26.4 to perform bridge repairs. There will be a 12' lane width restriction through the work zone during this time. Weather Permitting.

Chester Street at I-40:

Beginning Monday, May 18th: North and Southbound Chester Street will be closed from Larry Anderson Lane to Scarlet Ridge Drive to perform bridge repairs on the I-40 bridges at L.M. 29.8. Chester street will remain closed for the duration of the project.

SHELBY COUNTY

SR- 14/ US-61 (Third Street) Bridges over ICRR and Nonconnah Creek (L.M. 7.13) Shelby County, Tennessee. Interstate 55 Exit Ramp Bridge to State Route 14 (L.M. 7.44) State Route 14 (South 3rd Street) Bridge over Interstate 55 (L.M. 7.46).

The following ramps on US-61 S Third St (SR14) at I 55 will continue to remain closed with detours in place:

· Northbound S.R. 14 to northbound I-55.

· Southbound S.R. 14 to southbound I-55.

· Southbound I-55 to southbound SR-14

· Northbound I-55 to northbound/southbound SR-14

Beginning Wednesday, September 3, 2025, northbound SR-14 traffic was reduced to one lane from the approach to the bridge over Nonconnah Creek to just beyond the northbound SR-14 to northbound I-55 loop ramp. Drivers can expect intermittent flagging on SR14.

Monday, August 3rd to Friday, August 7th, 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m: There will be a Southbound SR-14 directional closure and flagging of Northbound SR-14 lanes.

Monday, August 10th to Friday, August 28th, 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.: There will be intermittent lane closures on northbound and southbound I-55 and northbound and southbound SR-14.

I-55 from near Mill Branch to I-240:

Nightly, 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.: There will be intermittent lane closures for bridge repair and paving operations. One lane to remain open in both directions at all times.

Nightly, 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.: There will be intermittent lane closures for resurfacing operations. One lane to remain open in both directions at all times.

Friday, August 28th, 8:00p.m. through Monday, August 31st 6:00 a.m.: There will be temporary lane closures along I-240 East for bridge repair activities on the Black Bayou Bridge. At least one lane will remain open at all times. Exit 20A-B (Getwell Road) from I-240 East will be temporarily closed. August 14th through the 16th will serve as backup dates. WEATHER PERMITTING.

I-240 from near S. Perkins to near Park Avenue:

Nightly, 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.: There will be intermittent lane closures for resurfacing operations. One lane will remain open in both directions at all times.

Friday, August 7th, 8:00p.m. to Monday, August 10th, 6:00 a.m.:

Ramp (EXIT 16) from I-240 Eastbound to SR385 Eastbound will be Closed

There will be lane closures for concrete pavement repair operations. Detour will be provided for SR 385 Exit 16. WEATHER PERMITTING.

FAYETTE COUNTY

I-269 (SR-385) from near SR-86 (U.S. 72) to SR-57:

Daily: Northbound and Southbound I-269 (SR-385) will be reduced to one lane from SR-86 (U.S. 72) to SR-57 for bridge maintenance activities. At least one lane will remain open at all times. The speed limit will be reduced from 65 mph to 55 mph through the work zone. There will be a 12' lane width restriction over the I-269 North (SR-385 East) bridge at L.M. 1.23.

STATE ROUTES

FAYETTE COUNTY

SR-15 (U.S. 64) from near Tomlin Road to near Woodbridge Road:

Daily: There will be temporary lane closures on east and westbound SR-15 from near Tomlin Road to near Woodbridge Road to perform resurfacing work. At least one lane in each direction will remain open at all times.

SHELBY COUNTY

SR-1 (N. Parkway) from near Danny Thomas St. to Tillman St.:

Nightly from 8:00 pm to 6:00 am.: There will be intermittent temporary lane closures for Milling and Paving. At least one lane in each direction to remain open at all times.

SHELBY COUNTY

SR-1 (U.S. 70, Summer Ave.) from near I-40 to North of Sycamore View Rd.:

Daily: There will be temporary lane closures along Westbound and Eastbound SR-1 for roadway widening activities. Eastbound SR-1 will be reduced from two lanes to one lane beginning at the I-40 Frontage Rd. and ending East of Sycamore View Rd. Westbound SR-1 will be reduced from two lanes to one lane beginning near Munson Rd. and ending at the I-40 Frontage Road. Trucks will be entering and exiting the work zone along SR-1. Flaggers will be present for directing traffic as necessary. At least one lane in each direction will remain open at all times.

Beginning Wednesday, February 18th: Access to Summer Trees Drive along SR-1 (Summer Avenue) will be temporarily closed with detours in place.

SHELBY COUNTY

SR-3 (US51 Thomas St.) from Near Wolf River and Levee Road to Stage Road

Daily.: There will be a long-term lane closure, Northbound and Southbound traffic will be reduced to 1 lane in each direction with a traffic shift in place to begin bridge replacement. At least one lane in each direction to remain open at all times.

SHELBY COUNTY

SR-4 from South of Shelby Drive to the Raines/Perkins Road interchange: The following routes will be affected due to roadway widening activities along SR-4.

Affected Routes:

· Lamar Avenue (SR-4): Speed limit reduced from 55 mph to 45 mph from South of Shelby Drive to the Raines/Perkins Road interchange.

· Shelby Drive (SR-175): Speed limit reduced from 45 mph to 35 mph at the intersection with Lamar Avenue (SR-4).

· Pleasant Run Road: Closed to thru traffic from Pleasant Hill Road. Pleasant Run Road is closed from Lamar Avenue (SR-4).

Thursday, July 30 through Friday, August 7, 8:00 p.m.- 5:00 a.m.:

There will be intermittent temporary road closures along SR-4 (Lamar Avenue) between Shelby Drive and E. Raines Road and along SR-175 (Shelby Drive) between Pleasant Hill Road and SR-4 (Lamar Avenue) for the installation of overhead utility lines. Each road closure will last approximately 5 minutes, allowing traffic to clear between each crossing installation.

SHELBY COUNTY

SR-14 from Kerrville Rosemark Road to the Tipton County Line:

The widening on SR-14 (Austin Peay Hwy) from Kerrville-Rosemark to the Tipton County Line will cause shoulder closures and temporary lane closures in both directions. There will be intermittent lane closures daily on eastbound and westbound SR 14 to perform grading, drainage, and paving work. Tracy Rd., Idaville Rd., Mulberry Rd., and Gragg Rd. will be closed, and a detour put in place.

SHELBY COUNTY

A.W. Willis/SR-14 from North Front St. (City of Memphis Municipal) to North 3rd St. (SR 14) (L.M. 11.91). Nightly from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.: August 3rd through August 5th.: There will be intermittent lane closures on East and Westbound A.W. Willis for Surveying.

SHELBY COUNTY

SR-57 (E. Poplar Avenue) from Fletcher Road to I-269 (SR-385):

Daily: There will be intermittent temporary lane closures along East and Westbound SR-57 for roadway widening activities. Flaggers will be present for directing traffic. At least one lane will remain open at all times.

SHELBY COUNTY

SR-57 (East Parkway) from North Parkway (L.M. 0.49) to Eastwood Ave (L.M. 0.903)

Nightly from 8:00 pm to 5:00 am.: August 3rd through August 5th.: There will be intermittent lane closures on North and Southbound East Parkway for Surveying.

TIPTON COUNTY

SR-3 from North Myron Creek (L.M. 7.00) to South of Old Hwy 51 (L.M. 8.00):

Beginning August 11, 2026: The southbound outside and northbound inside lanes will be closed to begin turn lane construction for the Tipton County Landfill.

TIPTON COUNTY

SR-179 from SR-54 to SR-14: There will be temporary lane closures on east and westbound SR 179 from SR 54 to SR 14 DAILY to perform resurfacing work.
