Lands Bills Approved by Senate Ag Committee
WASHINGTON - U.S. Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry Chairman John Boozman (R-AR) oversaw committee approval of a slate of bills to enhance public use of U.S. Forest Service lands.
"I'm proud to support commonsense solutions to ensure the U.S. Forest Service lands are managed efficiently, create recreation opportunities and support local communities. These bills impact nine states, and I'm pleased to work with the Senators and House members on both sides of the aisle who led this legislation," Boozman said.
The following bills were advanced by the committee:

- S. 1680, Virginia Wilderness Additions Act
- S. 2440, Convey Certain NFS Lands in Franklin County, MS, as amended
- H.R. 197, Lake Winnibigoshish Land Exchange Act
- S. 1262, Release Interest in Black River State Forest in Millston, WI
- S. 2548, Shawnee National Forest Conservation Act, as amended
- S. 1681, Shenandoah Mountain Act
- H.R. 1612, Flatside Wilderness Additions Act
- S. 1350, Modify the Boundaries of the Talladega National Forest
- S. 1376, Benton MacKaye National Scenic Trail Feasibility Study Act
- S. 1876, Stratton Ridge Air Force Memorial
- S. 638, to Amend the Thye-Blatnik Act
- S. ___, to Convey a Parcel of Property of the Forest Service to Perry County, Arkansas
