Cary, NC - While precipitation has ended, Winter Storm Fern continues to affect Cary as icy conditions persist and temperatures are expected to drop again tonight. Cary's Emergency Operations Center transitioned out of active operations this morning, with crews continuing to monitor and respond as conditions evolve. Crews are treating primary and secondary streets, with successful clearing and melting reported. In-person Town services remain shifted online today, and residents are encouraged to limit travel.
Cary treats streets in the following order: thoroughfares, followed by primary streets within subdivisions, then through streets in subdivisions, and then cul-de-sacs based on curbside collection routes. The Town does not treat private parking lots, including those in apartment and condominium complexes or at businesses and commercial centers.
