LEE'S SUMMIT, MO - The Missouri Department of Transportation will be performing maintenance work throughout the Kansas City region from October 13 through October 16. No work is scheduled for Monday, Oct. 12 due to the Columbus Day holiday. All work is weather permitting.
JOHNSON COUNTY
Route V between Missouri Route 13 and end of state maintenance: flagging operations on Tuesday, Oct. 13, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m., for seal coating.
Route H between Route 13 and Lafayette County line: flagging operations on Wednesday, Oct. 14 and Thursday, Oct. 15, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m., for seal coating.
LAFAYETTE COUNTY
Missouri Route 13 between Route U and Route YY: flagging operations on Tuesday, Oct. 13, from approximately 8 a.m. until 4 p.m., for culvert work.
Route M between Odessa Cemetery Rd. and Varner Rd.: flagging operations on Tuesday, Oct. 13, from approximately 8 a.m. until 4 p.m., for pavement work.
Route BB between Little Tabo Rd. & Buford Rd.: road closed on Thursday, Oct. 15 and Friday, Oct. 16, from approximately 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. daily, for brush cutting.
Missouri Route 223 at Page City Rd.: flagging operations on Thursday, Oct. 15 and Friday, Oct. 16, from approximately 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. daily, for culvert work.
Route HH between Route Z and Doty School Rd.: flagging operations on Thursday, Oct. 15 and Friday, Oct. 16, from approximately 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. daily, for pavement work.
RAY COUNTY
Route A between Reno Rd. & Sader Rd.: flagging operations on Thursday, Oct. 15, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m., for drainage work.
MoDOT maintenance crews often perform other tasks throughout the work week such as pothole patching, litter pick-up, sign repairs, brush cutting, and other operations that are not included above as they pose limited impacts to traffic.
Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
