Nebraska Farm Bureau Reminds Nebraskans: Pete Ricketts is Agriculture’s Endorsed Candidate

LINCOLN, NEB. - In response to U.S. Senate candidate Dan Osborn rolling out his agriculture plan, the Nebraska Farm Bureau is reminding Nebraskans that U.S. Senator Pete Ricketts is the only candidate who has received the endorsement of the state's largest general farm and ranch organization.

"Senator Pete Ricketts is the only candidate in the race for U.S. Senate with a proven track record of supporting Nebraska agriculture. That track record earned him an endorsement from Nebraska Farm Bureau and its members," said Mark McHargue, Nebraska Farm Bureau President. "Pete is a true friend to Nebraska's farm and ranch families."

Ricketts has consistently fought to make farming and ranching more profitable, protect producers from government overreach, expand market access, and invest in the rural infrastructure that Nebraska's agriculture communities depend on. He has been a champion for maintaining an effective farm safety net and protecting risk management tools for agriculture.

McHargue pointed specifically to Ricketts' work securing additional grazing opportunities at the Valentine National Wildlife Refuge in the face of historic wildfires, his efforts to deliver a common-sense definition of Waters of the U.S. that brought certainty to producers, blocking President Biden's 30x30 land grab, strengthening competition in the cattle industry, and pushing for expanded E15 access to support Nebraska corn growers and ethanol producers.

"Nebraska's farmers and ranchers need a senator with a proven record of delivering for them. Pete Ricketts is that senator and the Nebraska Farm Bureau is proud to stand with him," said McHargue.

The Nebraska Farm Bureau is a grassroots, state-wide organization dedicated to supporting farm and ranch families and working for the benefit of all Nebraskans through a wide variety of educational, service, and advocacy efforts. Nearly 55,000 families across Nebraska are Farm Bureau members, working together to achieve rural and urban prosperity. as agriculture is a key fuel to Nebraska's economy.
