Today, a meeting of the Council of Permanent Plenipotentiary Representatives of the CIS Member Nations at the Statutory and other Bodies of the Commonwealth was held at the headquarters of the CIS Executive Committee in Minsk.
During the meeting, the participants discussed 13 agenda items.
They reviewed the results of the activities of the CIS Consultative Council on Labour, Employment and Social Protection of the Population for the period 2023-2025. They also examined the work of the CIS Council for Cooperation in Healthcare regarding the establishment of a unified epidemiological framework aimed at ensuring the sanitary protection of the Commonwealth's territory. In addition, the Permanent Plenipotentiary Representatives discussed the outcomes of the activities of the CIS sectoral cooperation bodies in the legal field for 2025.
At the initiative of Belarus and Russia, a joint report by the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the two countries entitled "On the Human Rights Situation in Certain Countries" was presented.
The participants also reviewed the outcomes of the 39th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, as well as the work of the CIS Observer Mission during the regular elections to the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia, which were held on 7 June 2026.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Secretary General of the IPA CIS Council - Plenipotentiary Representative of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus Viktor Kogut.
