IMMEDIATE RELEASE September 26, 2026 Albuquerque, NM - Earlier today, Republican candidate for lieutenant governor, Senator David Gallegos and his opponent, Stephanie Garcia Richard, faced off in their only scheduled debate before Election Day. RPNM releases the following statement: "As expected, David Gallegos made it abundantly clear in today's debate why he is the right choice for lieutenant governor," said Interim Chairman Mike Nelson. "His strong debate performance showed poise, experience, and a deep knowledge of the most critical issues facing our state. Anyone who watches this debate will see what we have known all along: David Gallegos is not only equipped and prepared to change the direction of New Mexico, but he is ready to do so on day one." ### |
