Gardner is a partner in Taft's Environmental practice group. He works with large multinational companies, small and midsize businesses, and public sector clients on environmental compliance and permitting matters. He defends clients involved in environmental enforcement actions, government investigations, and third-party lawsuits related to compliance with environmental laws. He also routinely works with buyers, sellers, and lenders on M&A and real estate deals and assists those clients in structuring transactions to minimize and allocate environmental liabilities and risks.
