HAMILTON COUNTY I-75 at I-24 Interchange Reconstruction Phase 2: Nighttime lane closures from 9 PM to 6 AM are scheduled on I-24 East and I-24 West between Germantown Road and through the I-75 interchange for painting/texture coating of retaining/noise walls, and work on various punch list items. This night work is scheduled for Tuesday (3/31) through Thursday (4/2). At times, this work may require the temporary closure of exit or entrance ramps from I-24 West and I-24 East to North and South Terrace. Message boards, signs, and detours will be provided to warn motorists of all these ramp closures and to guide them to the next available exit or entrance ramp. The contractor will have daytime lane closures (9 AM to 3 PM) on North and South Terrace for completing various punch list items (i.e., paint/texture coat retaining/noise walls, grading shoulders, installing signs, etc.). This work is scheduled to take place Tuesday (3/31) through Friday (4/3), weather permitting. The contractor has shifted and opened all lanes on I-75 North and I-75 South in their final alignment. There will be nighttime lane closures (9 PM to 6 AM) Tuesday (3/31) through Thursday (4/2) on I-75 North and I-75 South between Exit 1 (East Ridge) and Exit 3A (East Brainerd Road/ SR-320) as the contractor works on punch list items and installs permanent signs and mile markers. As this work progresses, it may be necessary to temporarily close exit and entrance ramps to and from I-75 so that crews can safely work in these areas. HAMILTON COUNTY I-75 at the Hamilton Place Mall interchange: The SR-153 southbound ramp to I-75 northbound has been reduced to one lane. Traffic shifts have been implemented on I-75 northbound and I-75 southbound, Shallowford Road entrance ramps, and Shallowford Road exit ramps and Hamilton Place Mall exit ramp. Hamilton Loop Road is closed for retaining wall construction and storm drainage installation between the intersections near Markman's Jewelers and Texas Roadhouse. MARION COUNTY I-24 [137-138.2] from 137 to 138.2 Rockfall Mitigation on I-24 near MM 137: The contractor will be performing rockfall mitigation operations on I-24 WB beginning at MM 138.2 in Marion County. The middle lane, right lane, and right shoulder have been closed. 2 Lanes of traffic have been shifted to flow on the left shoulder and left lane. Blasting will also occur during the weekdays between 9 AM and 3 PM. Blasting operations will require a rolling roadblock. All lanes will be reopened to traffic by May 22, 2026.
