Kansas Online Voter Registration System Temporarily Unavailable

PAPER FORMS REMAIN AVAILABLE

Sunday, May 31, 2026

TOPEKA - The Kansas online voter registration system has been unavailable for approximately 24 hours. This is due to a system-wide outage of all Kansas Department of Revenue systems and websites. The online voter registration system is done jointly between the Secretary of State and the Department of Revenue. This allows the Secretary of State to ensure persons using the online system are verified and prevents the use of fraud when registering to vote online.

Persons wishing to change their party affiliation may access the paper form at https://www.votekansas.gov and submit the application to your local or state office by noon on Monday.

Any questions regarding why the system is unavailable should be referred to the Kansas Department of Revenue, or the Governor's office. This will be updated when the system is back online.
