Meeting of the Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Vahan Kostanyan with the Chairman of the Italy-Armenia Parliamentary Friendship Group

On January 20, Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Vahan Kostanyan met with Giulio Centemero, Chairman of the Italy-Armenia Parliamentary Friendship Group and Piero Fassino, member of the group and rapporteur on Armenia in PACE.

The parties commended the recent continuously developing effective cooperation between the parliaments of Armenia and Italy. The importance of inter-parliamentary cooperation in terms of developing and strengthening bilateral ties was stressed.

During the meeting, the Strategic Agenda of the Armenia-EU Partnership was touched upon. Deputy Foreign Minister Kostanyan briefed his interlocutors on the developments in the South Caucasus, as well as the priorities of Armenia's foreign policy in the context of the established peace in the region.

Views were exchanged on the projects aimed at developing regional connectivity, including the new opportunities expected to result from the implementation of the "TRIPP route" project.
