San Francisco Overnight Off-Ramp Closures Scheduled on Interstate-280 to Allow Pavement Installations

San Francisco - Caltrans begins critical paving work on Interstate-280 (I-280) freeway off-ramps on Wednesday, September 17, through Saturday, September 20. While the work is underway, overnight off-ramp closures will be necessary to ensure the safety of motorists and work crews. This pavement project is part of ongoing effort to maintain and improve freeway off-ramps for the safety and comfort of all drivers.

Work Schedule and Ramp Closures:

  • Wednesday, September 17, 2025 (8:00 PM to 6:00 AM)
    • NB 280 Off-ramp to Geneva Ave.
    • NB 280 On-ramp from Alemany Blvd.
  • Thursday, September 18, 2025 (10:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
    • NB 280 Off-ramp to Geneva Ave.
    • SB 280 On-ramp from Geneva Ave. (8:00 PM to 6:00 AM)
  • Saturday, September 20, 2025 (12:00 AM to 6:00 AM)
    • SB 280 Off-ramp from San Jose Ave. and Sagamore St.
  • Saturday, September 20, 2025 (11:00 PM to 8:00 AM)
    • SB 280 Off-ramp from John Daly Blvd.

Changeable message signs will be posted to guide motorists. Please allow for extra travel time.
