FREE FAMILY FUN WITH JACKSON POLICE & FIRE

The City of Jackson Police and Fire Departments are teaming up again for the annual Summer Safety Series, bringing free family fun, safety information, and community connection to parks across Jackson.

These events are a great way for residents to meet local police officers and firefighters in a relaxed, family-friendly setting. Kids can enjoy games, free food, safety activities, and the chance to get an up-close look at police cars and fire trucks.

Families are invited to stop by, ask questions, learn helpful safety tips, and connect with the public safety professionals who serve the Jackson community.

Free Food, Games, Prizes, and Public Safety Fun

Each Summer Safety Series event will include:

  • Free food
  • Games and activities
  • Safety information for families
  • Police cars and fire trucks for kids to explore
  • A chance to meet Jackson police officers and firefighters
  • Prize raffles for children and teens

Prize Raffles

Children and teens who attend and participate will have a chance to enter special prize raffles.

For children ages 12 and under:
Bike and helmet raffle

For teens ages 13 to 18:
$50 Visa gift card raffle

2026 Summer Safety Series Schedule

All events take place from noon to 1:30 p.m.

  1. Wednesday, June 10, 2026 - Kiwanis Park
  2. Wednesday, July 8, 2026 - Martin Luther King Jr. Center
  3. Wednesday, Aug. 19, 2026 - Loomis Park

Join Us This Summer

The Summer Safety Series is free and open to the public. Families are encouraged to attend one event or join us for all three.

Come enjoy lunch, meet your local police and fire departments, and learn how we can all work together to keep Jackson safe this summer.
