NAMPA - The Idaho Transportation Department will close eastbound Interstate 84 between the Garrity Interchange (Exit 38) and the Ten Mile Interchange (Exit 42) Thursday night, Oct. 22, while crews continue construction of the new State Highway 16 interchange.
The closure will allow crews to safely place concrete on the bridge decks of the new SH-16 flyover ramps above I-84.
What to expect Thursday, Oct. 22, from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.:
Nighttime lane restrictions on eastbound and westbound I-84 will continue through fall as construction progresses on the SH-16 and I-84 interchange, which is expected to open in 2027.
Drivers should plan extra time when traveling through the area at night, follow posted detour signs and check 511.idaho.gov or the 511 mobile app for the latest information on closures and delays.
