Public Hearing Notice: Confirming the Engineer's Reports and District Diagrams and Ordering a Levy of Annual Assessments for Landscaping & Lighting Assessment Districts

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

Time: 7:00 P.M.
Place: City Council Chamber at City Hall, 65 Civic Avenue, Pittsburg, CA

Concerning the following matter:

Confirming the Engineer's Reports and District Diagrams and Ordering a Levy of
Annual Assessments for Landscaping & Lighting Assessment Districts Citywide
1988-1 and Oak Hills 1988-2 for Fiscal Year 2026/27.

California Streets and Highways Code§ 22500 et seq., also known as the Landscaping
and Lighting Act of 1972, authorizes the creation of assessment districts to perform
certain functions including the installation, construction, and maintenance of
landscaping, lighting, and park and recreational facilities.

Citywide 1988-1 and Oak Hills 1988-2 Landscaping and Lighting Assessment Districts
have been in existence since 1988, and the funds collected are necessary for the City to
maintain lighting and landscaping in the Citywide and Oak Hills Districts. Each year,
prior to ordering improvements and levying assessments, the City Council holds a
public hearing.

You are invited to submit comments regarding any aspect of this matter in writing or
through oral testimony during the public hearing. Written comments citing the district's
name may be emailed to Sharon Paz, Administrative Analyst II at [email protected],
or they may be mailed to: Pittsburg Public Works Department, 65 Civic Avenue, Pittsburg,
CA 94565.

If you challenge the above matter in court, you may be limited to raising only those
issues you or someone else raised at the Public Hearing described in this Notice or in
written correspondence delivered to the City Council at, or prior to, the Public Hearing.
