Congressman Robert Garcia Statement Following Roundtable Discussion with Epstein Survivor, Long Beach Resident Annie Farmer

LONG BEACH, CA - Today, Congressman Robert Garcia (CA-42) released the following statement after hosting a roundtable discussion with Annie Farmer, a resident of Long Beach who survived Jeffrey Epstein's sexual abuse when she was a teenager, on the work of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee to release the Epstein files and the importance of securing justice for all survivors.

"Annie Farmer is a hero who deserves justice and I'm so glad that so many women are hearing her story," said Congressman Robert Garcia. "President Trump and Attorney General Pam Bondi need to finally follow the law, release the files, and end this White House cover-up. We will not stop fighting until we get the truth for the American people and the justice these survivors deserve."

Last September, Congressman Garcia was joined by Farmer in Long Beach in demandingthe full release of the Epstein files.

The Epstein Files Transparency Act mandates the release of the Epstein files to the public, but prevents the release of files pertaining to an "active investigation." The Department of Justice (DOJ) has only released 3.5 million documents out of the total 6 million documents collected by the Department pertaining to Jeffrey Epstein.

Attorney General Bondi has failed to comply with the separate, bipartisan House Oversight Committee subpoena issued in August 2025, requiring the release of the complete, unredacted files to the Committee, and as the DOJ under her leadership continues to illegally withhold and conceal Epstein file materials from Congress.
