Gosar Joins Ambassador of Hungary for Yuma Border Tour
On Saturday, I visited the U.S. Border Patrol's Yuma Sector Headquarters and joined agents on a firsthand tour of the border. What I saw was a sharp and encouraging contrast to the chaos Americans witnessed for years. The border in the Yuma Sector is now sealed, controlled, and being actively enforced-clear evidence that when the law is respected and Border Patrol is empowered to do its job, order can be restored. Physical barriers, enhanced technology, and consistent enforcement are stopping illegal crossings and disrupting the cartel networks that profit from human misery while threatening our communities.
Joining the tour were Hungarian Ambassador Takács and other senior Hungarian officials, who came to see firsthand what is working in the United States and how those lessons can be applied abroad. Hungary faces sustained pressure along its southern border with Serbia, a major transit route for illegal migration into the European Union. Like the United States, Hungary has dealt with organized human smuggling networks moving migrants from the Middle East, Africa, and Central Asia through the Western Balkans-overwhelming law enforcement, straining public resources, and undermining national sovereignty. These shared challenges underscore that border security is not just an American issue, but a global one.
Under Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, Hungary has pursued firm border policies despite relentless opposition from open-border activists and bureaucrats in Brussels. His government constructed fortified border barriers, deployed surveillance technology, established strict asylum procedures, and criminalized illegal border crossings-all to regain control of Hungary's borders and protect its citizens. These measures sparked legal challenges, fines, and political attacks from the EU, yet Hungary held the line, insisting that a nation without secure borders cannot remain sovereign. The presence of Hungarian leaders in Yuma highlighted a simple truth: strong borders work when leaders have the courage to enforce the law. I am deeply grateful to the men and women of the U.S. Border Patrol in the Yuma Sector for their professionalism and resolve, and I will continue fighting in Congress to ensure they have the resources, authority, and backing they deserve.
Gosar Tours Onvida Health Yuma Medical Center
During my visit to Yuma, I also toured the Onvida Health Yuma Medical Center and was truly impressed by the cutting-edge care being delivered right here in our community. I want to thank Dr. Simon Lavotshkin and the wonderful team of medical professionals at Onvida for an outstanding tour of the hospital's advanced robotic surgery center, which showcases the very best of modern medical innovation. The precision, efficiency, and patient-focused outcomes made possible by these technologies are remarkable and a testament to the skill and dedication of Yuma's healthcare professionals, who are setting a high standard for quality care in rural and border communities.
Gosar Cosponsors Bill to Halt Insider Trading
This week I cosponsored H.R. 7008, the Stop Insider Trading Act, because Americans are sick and tired of watching politicians get rich while families struggle. Members of Congress have access to closed-door briefings, advance knowledge of legislation, and regulatory information that can move markets. Using that access to trade stocks is wrong - period, hard stop.
There are few examples more glaring than Nancy Pelosi. Public disclosures show that stock trades tied to her household repeatedly aligned with major legislative actions affecting tech, finance, and other sectors, producing millions of dollars in gains. Whether technically legal under today's weak rules or not, it looks like Washington insiders are gaming the system while everyone else plays by a different set of rules. And she is far from alone - lawmakers in both parties have posted returns that would make Wall Street hedge funds blush.
H.R. 7008 draws a hard line: if you are elected to serve the public, you should not be trading individual stocks based on privileged information. I believe in free markets, not rigged markets. I believe in equal justice, not special carve-outs for powerful politicians. This bill is about ending the corruption, restoring trust, and making it clear that Congress works for the American people-not for its own portfolio.
Bill and Hillary Clinton Refuse to Testify in Epstein Probe
This week, the Clintons declined to appear for depositions before my House Oversight and Government Reform Committee's investigation into Jeffrey Epstein, denouncing the effort in a letter. The refusal adds to longstanding questions about Bill Clinton's documented connections to the late financier, including multiple flights on Epstein's private jet.
I am deeply troubled by Bill and Hillary Clinton's refusal to comply with a lawful congressional investigation into Jeffrey Epstein. No individual-regardless of wealth, power, or political pedigree-is above the law or beyond scrutiny, and refusing to testify only raises more questions that the American people deserve answered.
This Committee has a duty to follow the facts wherever they lead. Given the well-documented connections between Bill Clinton and Jeffrey Epstein, including multiple flights on Epstein's private jet, stonewalling Congress is unacceptable. I will continue to press for full transparency and exhaust every legal option available to Congress, including moving toward contempt proceedings next Wednesday to ensure compliance and accountability.
Gosar Demands NIH Halt Bat Research
This week, alongside Senator Joni Ernst, I formally demanded that the National Institutes of Health (NIH) immediately halt over $3 million in taxpayer funding for a controversial bat research facility at Colorado State University - a project linked to NIH programs and originally funded under the direction of Dr. Anthony Fauci.
I am deeply concerned that this "Wuhan-style" bat lab facility continues to receive federal dollars despite serious biosafety, transparency, and taxpayer waste issues. The NIH has reportedly already spent millions on this project, with additional funding still pending.
In our letter to NIH Director Jay Bhattacharya, Senator Ernst and I made clear that taxpayers deserve accountability and answers for why dangerous live animal research is being funded on U.S. soil, especially considering the unanswered questions about past lab-associated outbreaks…ahem, ahem Wuhan. I will continue to push for defunding risky and questionable government research and demanding responsible stewardship of federal dollars.
Economic Data Shows Inflation Remains Low While Wages Rise
New economic data this weekconfirms what Americans are already feeling: inflation is under control and the economy is gaining strength under President Trump. After years of historically high inflation rates during the Biden Administration, President Trump has brought core inflation downto 2.4 percent -beating expectations and signaling sustained price stability. Bloomberg now calls the data a "convincing sign" that inflation is on a clear downward path.
Thanks to President Trump's pro-growth agenda - strong trade enforcement, tax relief for working families, and sweeping deregulation - real wages are rising faster than inflation. Private-sector workers are on track for a four percent real wage increase this year, recouping roughly $1,100 in lost purchasing power. Blue-collar workers are seeing even larger gains, with goods-producing workers projected to earn $1,300 more annually, including significant increases in construction, manufacturing, mining, and logging.
At the same time, investment is surging, job creation is accelerating, and consumer costs are easing. Vehicle prices continue to fall, and automakers are posting their strongest sales since 2019-defying predictions that tariffs would drive prices higher. The results are clear: President Trump has defeated the inflation crisis and positioned the American economy for a strong boom in 2026.
It's Mail Time!
Each week, I receive thousands of letters, and I appreciate hearing from everyone, even those who may disagree with me. Here are a few letters I received this week:

My husband and I visited Washington D.C. last week. We had requested US Capitol tour tickets in advance and were thrilled to have the opportunity to do the tour. We were, however, extremely disappointed that the tour did not include tickets to the Galleries. Our tour guide gave everyone instructions on how to request tickets to the Galleries. These instructions included leaving the Capitol Building, walking across the street to the senators' and congressman's office to make the requests. Once those tickets were secured, we would be required to walk back to the US Capitol, go through the security checks a second time, and then go upstairs to the Galleries.
It was disheartening to learn that international travelers who were interested in visiting the Galleries did not have to go through this process as tickets were readily available to them by simply asking for them at a desk in the Visitor's Center.
As discouraging as this process was, I really wanted to see the Galleries as I felt it was an important part of the experience, however, we had a timestamp to be at a different monument and did not feel we had sufficient time to leave the Capitol to make the ticket requests. I decided to call both Arizona Senators' offices multiple times. Neither office responded to the phone calls. I left a message, requesting for someone to return my call; a week later, I am currently still waiting as the call never came in.
As a last resort I decided to call your office and a very pleasant young man named, Adriel answered. After I mentioned my dilemma to him, he decided to meet us at the Visitor's Center and hand deliver the tickets, personally.
After being disappointed by the Arizona Senators' Offices, it was wonderful to have encountered Adriel. He was friendly, helpful, and very efficient.
Dear Mr. and Mrs. Aguirre - thank you for taking the time to share your experience visiting Washington, D.C., and the U.S. Capitol. I am truly grateful that you and your husband made the trip, and I appreciate you letting me know both what worked well and where the process fell short.
I am sorry to hear about the frustration you encountered regarding Gallery access. Ensuring that Americans have a fair, welcoming, and accessible experience at their Capitol is something we should always strive for.
I am especially pleased to hear about your interaction with Adriel. He embodies the commitment my office has to serving constituents and visitors with professionalism, courtesy, and care. I will be sure to pass along your kind words to him and to our entire team, as they mean a great deal.
Please know that my office is always here to help-whether you are planning a visit to Washington, need assistance navigating a federal agency, or have concerns you would like addressed. I encourage you and anyone needing assistance to reach out to my congressional office, and we will do our best to serve you promptly.
Thank you again for visiting, for sharing your experience, and for your thoughtful note. I hope you left Washington with many positive memories, and I wish you all the best.

It's becoming impossible to ignore that the Trump Administration is extremely serious about their bizarre fantasies of conquering Greenland. They are openly and explicitly threatening the use of military force. Let's talk plainly: Donald Trump is suggesting he'll send our young men and women into battle, to fight and kill and die, against NATO.
There's no polite way to express how outrageous this is. These are the Putin-esque battle cries of a rogue state, threatening wars of conquest against anyone who does not bend to their will.
This all may sound great to corporate interests and Trump's billionaire donors, one of whom gave him the whole idea for annexation. But this is a war the American people don't want to conquer people who don't want to be Americans aimed at goals that can be easily served by working with Greenlanders and Denmark instead of treating them like enemies. It would be a waste of resources at a time when the White House is claiming we can't afford to make health care and childcare affordable. The threats alone are shattering the alliance that helped us win the Cold War.
As your constituent, I am asking you to immediately publicly denounce the threat of military action against another NATO state and to reject any push to annex Greenland. I am also urging you to commit to supporting any upcoming war powers resolution to block an invasion, and to support Senator Ruben Gallego's amendment to the defense appropriations bill and use the government funding process to prevent our money from being used to attack or purchase Greenland.
Enough is enough. No more forever wars.
Brittney, President Trump has rightly emphasized the growing strategic importance of the Arctic as increased activity by Russia and the Chinese Communist Party threatens to undermine stability in the region. Greenland occupies a critical geographic position along key Arctic sea lanes and missile defense corridors, making it vital to the security of the United States and our NATO allies.
The idea of deeper American involvement in Greenland is not new. During World War II, the United States established military installations there to prevent Nazi expansion in the North Atlantic, and for decades since, our presence at Thule Air Base has played a central role in missile warning, space surveillance, and Arctic defense. Previous American administrations-Republican and Democrat alike-have recognized Greenland's strategic value and explored closer ties with its people and its governing authorities.
Secretary of State Marco Rubio has made clear that President Trump has no intention of using force. The President's approach is focused on peaceful, lawful, and mutually beneficial negotiations that would strengthen economic opportunity, infrastructure investment, and long-term security for both Americans and the people of Greenland. Such an arrangement would respect Greenland's population while countering the aggressive ambitions of hostile powers seeking influence in the Arctic.
Negotiations between the United States and Denmark are ongoing, and I will continue to defer to the President and the Secretary of State as they conduct diplomacy on behalf of the American people. As a Member of Congress, I strongly support efforts that protect U.S. sovereignty, deter our adversaries, and secure our strategic interests through peaceful means. Should any legislative action related to Greenland come before the House, I will carefully consider your views as part of that process.
