Webster’s Illustration Program Named Among the Best in the Midwest

Webster University's Bachelor of Fine Art with an emphasis in Illustration program was named one of the top programs for future illustrators by Animation Career Review Magazine. The illustration program is housed in Leigh Gerdine College of Fine Arts Department of Art Design and Art History (DADAH).

The magazine ranked the program as the third best among all institutions in Missouri. It also ranked the program as the 20th best among all colleges and universities in the Midwest.

""Our faculty and students are incredibly talented, and I am proud that their work is being recognized in this ranking," said Professor Noriko Yuasa, chair of the DADAH program. "Special congratulations go to Visiting Assistant Professor Racheal Bruce for her leadership, and to Professor Igor Karash and Professor Natalie Baldeon for their contributions to our core Illustration courses.

According to the magazine, the staff reviewed information about the academic reputation, admissions selectivity, post-graduate employment data, faculty expertise and curriculum, tuition costs, graduation rates and retention rates from about 200 schools that offer illustration programs in the United States. The magazine also sent out surveys to every school requesting additional information about their programs.
