City of Sparks Road Closure Information for Weekend Events Downtown

Sparks, NV- This weekend, the City of Sparks will close sections of Victorian Avenue during the Nugget Event Center's Dirty Heads and Fitz and the Tantrums concert and the Sierra Arts Book Fest.

For safety, the following road closures will be in place from Friday, October 10, at 12:15 a.m. to Sunday, October 12, at 6:00 a.m.

• Victorian Avenue from Pyramid Highway to the East side of Victorian Plaza.
• Both sides of the Nugget Event Center:
  • Victorian Plaza Circle, east side, from Avenue of the Oaks to Nugget Ave. (This road will open from Nugget Ave. to Victorian Ave. at 6 a.m. Saturday, October 10, to allow access to Nugget showroom parking lot.)
  • 10th Street from Avenue of the Oaks to Victorian Avenue.

Parking information for the October 10 Dirty Heads and Fitz and the Tantrums Concert:

• Parking is available at the Nugget's West parking lot and the City of Sparks parking garage next to the Galaxy Theatre. The Nugget's valet is also available for parking and the Nugget's parking garage. It is recommended to plan ahead and arrive early.
• Spectators are encouraged to leave their cars at home and find alternative transportation methods: walk, bike, public transit, rideshare, or carpool.
