Emergency Storm Drain Grate Repair - Country Club and Seneca

Published on May 12, 2026

On Monday, May 18, 2026, iSX Construction, under contract with the City of Tucson Department of Transportation and Mobility (DTM), will begin emergency repairs on the storm drain grates and their underground support structures on Country Club Road and Seneca Street.

Country Club Road will be restricted to one lane of travel, in each direction, from Waverly Street to Edison Street. Seneca Street will close on both sides of Country Club Road, for the safety of the construction crews, due to their proximity to the work area. Work will begin in the northbound lanes and progress to the southbound lanes. This work is scheduled to take up to three weeks to complete. Crews will work from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day. The schedule is subject to change due to inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances.

Traffic control and travel lane restrictions will be in place throughout the duration of the project, for 24 hours a day, to ensure the safety of the traveling public and construction crews. Expect delays when driving in this work area. Please obey all traffic control signs and watch for construction personnel and equipment in the work zone.
