The Oregon State Fire Marshal mobilized two structural task forces from Lane and Yamhill counties and a division supervisor from Portland Fire Wednesday to the community of Greenhorn in Baker County. The resources were requested by the local fire defense board chief and county commissioners to protect homes and property from the nearby Greenhorn and Salmon fires.

The Baker County Sheriff has issued level 3 evacuation notices for Greenhorn. Evacuation information can be found on their Facebook page and through the Oregon Department of Emergency Managements RAPTOR dashboard.

According to the U.S. Forest Service, at least five fires were reported late Tuesday night and early Wednesday morning near the border of Baker and Grant counties. The Malheur National Forest said with recent lightning moving through the area, they asked Oregonians to be aware of the potential for additional fire activity.
