MILWAUKEE, March 3, 2026 - Marcus & Millichap (NYSE: MMI), a leading commercial real estate brokerage firm specializing in investment sales, financing, research and advisory services, announced today the sale of The Edgewater Apartments, a 48-unit multifamily property located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The property sold for $4,875,000, or $101,563 per unit.
"The Lower East Side remains one of Milwaukee's most tightly held multifamily submarkets, with only five apartment buildings trading in the past two years despite there being 281 properties with eight or more units in the area," said Blake Hanlon, senior director investments. "This transaction underscores the long-term confidence investors have in the neighborhood's stable tenant base."
Hanlon and Mark Peltin, investment specialists in Marcus & Millichap's Milwaukee office, had the exclusive listing to market the property on behalf of the seller, a long-time client, and procured the buyer, a repeat-buyer looking to expand their holdings.
The Edgewater Apartments is situated on a 0.32-acre parcel at 1106 E. Knapp St. Built in 1963, the property features one-bedroom units across 30,576 square feet, as well as an on-site laundry facility and 22-space underground parking garage. It is within walking distance of Milwaukee's lakefront and downtown amenities.
