Staying connected with your community is one of the most important parts of being a creator. While seeing your "Top" comments is great for spotting trends, sometimes you want the default view to be who is engaging right now so you can reply in real-time. Enter sort comments by "Newest" in YouTube Studio

How to sort YouTube comments by newest

Whether you're on your desktop browser or Android/iOS, the process is simple:

1. Open YouTube Studio
2. Navigate to the Community (or Comments) tab
   • Note: If you are on mobile, tap "View All" to see the full list

1. Click or tap on Sort By
2. Select Newest

How to set sort by 'Newest' as default

Want to save a few clicks next time? You can lock this preference in so your comments feed always shows the latest activity first:

1. Once you've sorted by newest, look for the Filters icon.
2. Select Set current filters as your default.

And just like that, your Studio will automatically serve up the newest comments first
