Tire Amnesty Day on Dec. 6
Newton County will hold a Tire Amnesty Day Day, Dec. 6, 2025.
The tire amnesty day is restricted to Newton County residents only. There is a limit of 10 tires per vehicle with no rims and no commercial tires.
The free Tire Amnesty Day is sponsored by Keep Newton Beautiful to help reduce litter, blight and mosquitos.
During the most recent Tire Amnesty Day on June 14, Newton County collected 12.59 tons of tires
The Solid Waste Authority first implemented this program in fall of 2023, holding two events a year ever since. Throughout the four Tire Amnesty Day events held thus far, Newton County residents have turned in 50.84 tons of tires.
