City of West Hollywood’s West Hollywood Park Transforms Into a Wintery Wonderland with Events in December and January

Who says there's no winter season in Southern California? The City of West Hollywood is closing out 2025 with a variety of wintery delights at West Hollywood Park, located at 647 N. San Vicente Boulevard, in December 2025 and January 2026! Wintery delights will include:

WeHo Winter Ice Rink:

The City of West Hollywood is hosting its family-friendly WeHo Winter Ice Rink for skating daily through Sunday, December 21, 2025. Ice skaters are invited to break out their best figure-skating arabesque/camel spin/Biellmann spin/spiral (or just work on staying on their feet!) and book a 90-minute ice-skating session:

  • Mondays through Thursdays from 4 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.;
  • Fridays from 2 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.; and
  • Saturdays and Sundays from 12 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.

The cost per session is $15 for ages 3-14 and $20 for ages 15 and older and a session includes skate rental. Join us for special theme nights and festive events throughout the season. Rainbow District Winter Market:

The Rainbow District Winter Market will showcase a curated selection of local artisans, vendors, and small businesses. It will take place on Saturday, December 6, 2025 and Sunday, December 7, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Winter Market highlights the City of West Hollywood's creativity, community, and diversity and offers small merchants the opportunity to connect directly with shoppers in one of the region's most dynamic neighborhoods.

Throughout the market, guests can enjoy an array of winter-themed activities, including photo opportunities, free giveaways, live entertainment, seven onsite food vendors, and ice skating at the WeHo Winter Ice Rink. The weekend will also feature local Rainbow District businesses and specialty merchants, making the market the perfect destination for fun and unique gifting. Additionally, a special treat following the Winter Market on Sunday, December 7 is "Drag on Ice!" from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., bringing an unforgettable blend of performance, glamour, and winter magic!

Winter Wonderland:

West Hollywood Park will transform into a free Winter Wonderland on Saturday, December 13, 2025, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. with entertainment, one-of-a-kind giveaways, games and contests, arctic-themed arts-and-crafts, face painting, a children's soft play zone, complimentary hot apple cider, and more! Come experience holiday joy and merriment at this free event, no RSVP required. In case of rain, the event will move indoors on the second floor of the West Hollywood Park Aquatic and Recreation Center, located at 8750 El Tovar Place, adjacent to West Hollywood Library. Polar Plunge:

Closing out West Hollywood's magical winter is the City of West Hollywood's Polar Plunge, a Pool Party for all ages on Sunday, January 11, 2026 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. All pool activities will take place in the heated recreational pool. Swim attire is required for those who would like to participate in the in-water pool activities. Individuals not yet potty-trained must wear a swim diaper. Participants ages 10 and younger must always be within arm's reach of a parent/guardian while in the water. A ratio of no more than two children to one parent/guardian will be enforced in the water. Participants ages 11-15 must always be accompanied by a parent/guardian while in the facility. Activities outside of the pool will include games, giveaways, arts-and-crafts, hot cocoa, and apple cider. The Polar Plunge Pool Party will take place at the West Hollywood Park Aquatic and Recreation Center, 5th floor, located at 8750 El Tovar Place, adjacent to West Hollywood Library.
